1. Step-by-Step Instructions

1
Install Extension & Pin to Toolbar

After installing from the Chrome Web Store, click the puzzle icon (Extensions list) in the top-right corner of Chrome and pin VideoDownloader (⚡) to your toolbar for quick access.

2
Open Video Page & Play Briefly

Visit the webpage containing the video and play it for 1-2 seconds. Once detected, a badge showing the number of available streams will appear on the toolbar icon.

3
Check Quality & Start Download

Click the ⚡ icon to open the popup list. Review the thumbnail and resolution, then click the 'Download' button next to the desired video.

4
Download Complete & File Saved

Once segment merging and saving finish in the downloader tab, your MP4 file is automatically saved to your browser's default 'Downloads' folder for offline viewing.

2. Troubleshooting & FAQ

Fewer videos shown in the list than badge count: To filter out tiny ads or icons, items smaller than 128 KB are excluded by default. (You can adjust this threshold in extension settings.)

Progress briefly pauses at 99%: The browser is stitching the final MP4 file headers and timestamps. Please wait a few seconds and the download will complete.

Separate video and audio tracks: Some sites stream video and audio separately. VideoDownloader automatically muxes them together into a unified MP4 file.
